About S-K-I-L-S
S-K-I-L-S was established in February 2010, by Mr Enver Godanci of Tosca Ristorante. In April 2009, Mr Enver Godanci visited Kosova and decided to meet and find out more about the welfare of landmine sufferers. After doing some research at International Red Cross and the United Nations Landmine Organisation, he was kindly given a list of landmine victims in Kosova who had suffered injuries through landmine and other explosive devices since the end of the war in 1999. The list was long and contained victims of all ages and both sex.He personally went and met a few of the sufferers, and picked Muhamet as he was by far the worst victim with over 60% amputation.
In November 2007, Muhamet went to his field with his livestock, and stepped on an explosive device which was buried during the 1999 Kosovan & Serbian war. Having listened to his story and the evidence put in front of me, I decided I wanted to support and help this young man who is only 30 years old.
In October 2009, Mr Enver Godanci returned to Kosovo and brought Muhamet back to the UK with him. This was with the view to visiting a Prosthetics Clinic, to see whether they could help him with proper prothestics.
After numerous consultations with Mr Abdo Haidar from The London Prosthesthics Centre, we have had a quotation for the cost of replacing his old and poorly fitted prosthetics with new ones. This is going to cost in the region of £34,000. Click here to view the quote.

Our aim is to raise enough funds to have these fake limbs which have been poorly fitted due to lack of care and lack of funds replaced with modern up to date prosthetics.
